laughingsquid:First Crew Members Selected for 520-Day Mars Mission Simulation (Popular Science)
Currently, I’m in Chicago with my dad because of a space conference that he’s been invited to speak at. I’ve sat through a couple of lectures and have become severely disheartened at the state of the space program. We used to go at this with such fervor, enthusiasm, and curiosity. It used to be an inspiration. Now it’s just one more thing to fund (or not) and it’s sad to watch.
Maybe if we can do something like go on Mars- or even the Moon again- we can re-inject those feelings. Or at least get ourselves out of a rut.
